Stone Industry Alliance Hallmarque Scheme

Changes in European standards have recently come into effect, regarding stone products. The UK stone industry’s “governing body”, the Stone Federation Great Britain, are actively taking steps to ensure that member companies live up to the high standards expected of them.

To this end, they have launched the Hallmarque quality assurance scheme, providing ongoing, independent, third party assessment and certification of natural stone. The aim of this is to provide additional security and reassurance for a client, as to gain certification a company will have to have achieved the highest industry standards.

The Hallmarque scheme came into effect earlier this year to tie in with the changing of European standards in August. CWO was one of the first SFGB companies to gain this accreditation, and were awarded our certificate when we attended the Natural Stone Show 2006, which took place in March.
