In many instances, both in restoration and new build stonework, it will be advisable to consult a stonework specialist during the design stages to ensure that all plans are both practical as well as cost effective, and will enable client and professional team to gain a better understanding of the methods involved, ensuring the success of the project.

CWO offers a full consultancy service, offering our clients advice on stone selection, finishes, methods of repair and conservation, fixing solutions, cleaning methods, and much more. 

CWO is often asked to consult on projects during the initial stages, carrying out condition surveys and assisting clients, architects and the like in the formulation of specifications and the selection of suitable specialist contractors. 

Condition surveys and consultancy services are offered either independently, prior to a project commencing, or as part of a larger project. CWO is also experienced in working closely with professional organisations, such as English Heritage and the Stone Federation GB, to ensure our clients get the best and most comprehensive advice possible. 

CWO's expert team of consultants is comprised of individuals with strong backgrounds in the industry and many years experience. Most of our consultants are themselves fully trained and time served masons, complimenting theoretical knowledge with practical on site experience.
