St. John the Baptist church, Hyde Park
September saw completion of the internal re-ordering of the St. John the Baptist Church in Hyde Park. The five month project costing close to £500k included the introduction of under floor heating topped by a new Purbeck Stone floor. Also included in the works were revisions to electrical and PA systems alongside the joinery, plastering remedial works and decorations.
Portsmouth School
Following the successful outcome of a competitive bid process, CWO was awarded the £100k project to carry out significant repairs to the stone and brick fabric of the Cumberlands Infants School in Portsmouth. Although the bulks of the works were carried out during the summer break, extreme care was needed on site to maintain safe and secure working areas and protecting the pupils and staff at all times.
