CWO’s workshop in Chichester has some of the most advanced stone cutting machinery in the industry. To further enhance our ability to provide quality stone products and to increase the turnaround of our stone  supply we have made a major investment  by the addition of a new Breton Speedycut saw, considered by many to be the best of modern stone technology.

CWO’s new saw is the first of its type imported from Italy into the UK and was supplied by Ebor Equipment Ltd, one of the leading suppliers to the UK market.

With the Speedycut FK/NC 1100 in place our masons have been busy getting used to the new equipment, cutting stone for our production and have produced two cantilever staircases already.

Some of the features making the Breton saw an important new installation:

- The advanced engineering affords a very high level of accuracy in both profile and secondary sawing operations. It also allows for enhanced speed between different modes and work pieces and therefore increases the speed of our overall turn around and the volume of work we are able to handle.

- The intuitive programming controlled by the hanging touch screen colour monitor means that the learning process for our operatives has been relatively easy, ensuring lost time during the installation was minimised, even though the saw was stranded over Christmas on the Italian border due to a strike by the Italian fuel protestors.
