UK Building Conservation » Military Knights, Windsor Castle

The lodgings, situated within the walls of Windsor Castle, are the home to 13 retired military servicemen who form the Military Knights and are part of the Order of the Garter, a tradition dating back to King Edward III.
CWO has carried out two phases of conservation and repair work to the external areas of the Lower Ward. This included careful conservation and hand cleaning, Localised stone repairs carried out in Syreford Cream limestone. Specialist aspects of the project include replacement of the roof to the Military Knights Lodgings.
